Divorce Appraisals:
Ferguson Appraisal (A division of Ferguson Auctioneering & Appraisal) has been evaluating Personal Contents for almost 40 years and have worked closely with many different Legal Firms during this time. We are "One of Ontario's Foremost Divorce Appraisers"!
The evaluation of divorce assets should take place as soon as possible after separation or the time of filing for divorce. It is usually required that all assets be valued, including any liabilities, vehicles, business assets, and household items are some of the more common assets to be valued. With a proper Appraisal report equitable distribution will be much easier for the client(s). A detailed listing is usually provided with individual prices included , however there may be certain circumstances whereas an overall figure will be sufficient. This is less expensive than a full detailed report in some cases clients will rely on the legal profession to guide them as to whether a written report is necessary. Ferguson Appraisals has performed many reports over the years and our experience has shown that a written report greatly eases the stress involved between spouses when it comes to dividing assets.
